EEC Lincolne Scott assisted The Royal Orchid Sheraton 5 Star Hotel with the refurbishment of the hotel main entrance, lobby and adjacent all day dining restaurant.

The brief was to create modern, fresh spaces with clean, high class lines whilst maintaining a definite Thai influence.

Challenges included the raising of ceiling heights in the restaurant to create a more open feeling, despite the low floor to floor height and the limited period of closure for the spaces.

The restaurant refurbishment included the complete overhaul of two kitchens, one of which was also extended and the other had a ceiling introduced in the limited space available.

The restaurant is multi-themed and includes features such as banquet dining, sushi counter, outdoor dining, display kitchens, Tandoori ovens and wood fired pizza oven.

EEC Lincolne Scott were responsible for the mechanical, electrical, sanitary and fire protection services which included the upgrade of some hotel infrastructure. The project was completed in November 2002.
